Fall is Here!

We have been busy bees this past week. Unfortunately we did not go to the pumpkin patch this past Sunday since it was so cold and I didn't want Cameron to catch a cold. If it ever warms up then we'll try to go again before Halloween gets here. I seriously feel like it's cold 9 months out of the year here in Chicago :( I want it to get warmer and sunny so I can take Cameron out for walks again!

Cameron and I went to see my good friend Michelle on Saturday. We did some shopping and scrapbooking. It was so much fun to hang out!!! I'm getting addicted to scrapbooking now :) Sunday Paul, Cameron, and I went over to his parents house to celebrate his birthday w/ his family. We had a great time! Cameron loves seeing his cousins here!

Stay warm and have a safe week!!!
XOXO

Go Hawkeyes!
(He was cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes since Paul's family was at the game on Saturday and they won!)

Mommy's Little Stinker

We went for Cameron's 6 month check-up yesterday and he gained much more weight than last time so that was good. He is now 16 lbs 23 oz and 26 inches. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and height which seems to be about the same for him each time so far. I was hoping he would get Paul's tall genes, but looks like he might be more like my family ;)

We are so blessed to have such a healthy happy baby boy. We are looking forward to all the holidays this year with the new addition to our family! Paul's birthday is tomorrow....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Some fun pics of Cameron:

I'm going to eat my bear! (Everything goes straight to his mouth now-ha,ha)

6 Months

Cameron turned 6 months old on Friday!!! I cannot believe it's been 6 months! The time is flying by so fast. He is doing better and better at sitting up (only for a few seconds, but balancing himself better each day). We also think it isn't too much longer before he will be crawling. Right now Cameron inch worms around everywhere. He's even starting to get on all fours and rock back and forth. We'll definitely need to baby proof everything soon! Cameron's 6 month check up is this coming Tuesday. We'll post his weight and height as soon as we know. Paul's birthday is this Thursday and Cameron and I are very excited to celebrate!

We're going this Sunday to the pumpkin patch with our little peanut :) Cameron's Halloween costume is all set to go and we can't wait for everyone to check out his spider costume! It is so adorable!
It's getting darker and darker earlier here in Chicago and unfortunately colder and colder too! It's going to be sad not to take all our walks to the park. Hope everyone has a great week!

Love,
Paul, Sarah, & Cameron

5 Months

Cameron turned 5 months September 2nd. I can't believe how big our little peanut is getting each day! He was on such a great roll sleeping (8pm to 7am), but that has changed :( He is off his schedule right now and seems to be waking up around 1:30am each night; not crying, just cooing. It's adorable, but Paul and I need our sleep! We're working hard to get him back into his old routine, but I'm starting to realize it's not that easy - ha,ha.

I took Cameron to the park today and he touched the grass for the first time. He wasn't sure what to do with it at first and then he just lunged right into it to eat it! I luckily got all the little pieces he grabbed up. Anything he gets his hands on goes straight to his mouth. He is definitely teething, but I don't see any signs of any teeth yet.

Here are some fun pics! Have a great weekend!!!
XOXO

Sleeping Better

Hello Everyone! This week has been pretty tough on me. We have been letting Cameron "cry it out" at night and only going in to pat his back or butt after he fusses for awhile. I must say that although it has been difficult, it is working and he is sleeping better and better. I can't say that we've mastered it and that he is sleeping through the night completely quite yet, but we're getting there.

Cameron has been rolling over for awhile now, but he is starting to roll from his back to his tummy to his back! So far he has only mastered this on the right side (maybe this means he will be right handed?). Anywho, it is really fun and amazing watching him do it and then looking for praise from either me or Paul. There is nothing better than seeing your child smile or laugh :)

Have a great week!!!

XOXO

We're Blogging Again!!!

It's been awhile since we've posted anything new, so we have alot of catching up to do! Cameron is 4 months old today. I know I keep saying this, but the time is going by so fast. Here are a few fun facts about our little bundle of joy:

Favorite Book: Baby Einstein Mirror Me
Favorite Song: If You're Happy and You Know It
Favorite Sleeping Positon: Tummy (no matter how much I try to get him to sleep on his back, he just doesn't want any part of it!)
Favorite Toy: Giraffe and Adventure Gym or pretty much anything he can grasp and put into this mouth :)

We had to start Cameron on some formula and surprisingly he loves it. We have to use the soy base type though because the other kind makes him break out in hives - yikes! I still can't say I like him going to daycare, especially with the cold he has had since his first week there but it is what it is and I'm dealing with it better. We are having difficulty getting him through the night without waking up several times so we're going to start to try to let him "work it out on his own" per our pediatrician's suggestion. We'll see how well that works out with me (probably not so good, but I know I have to let him learn to soothe himself). We also got the ok to start a little rice cereal if we want so we're going to start him on it a little this week. Our pediatrician said it's really not necessary until 6 months but they encourage people to try if they are willing to and their baby seems ready. We'll let you know how that works out later this week.

Back to Work & Daycare

Hello Everyone! It's been awhile since I've had time to post an update. Cameron is growing like a little weed lately and it's been so fun! He is finally starting to full out more. He is such a little ham and Paul and I can't get enough of him! It's been 3 weeks now since I've gone back to work and I wish I could say I'm getting used to daycare but I'm not. :( I try to focus on the time I do get to be with him, after work and the weekends, but sometimes I just break down and cry. I'm hoping in the next couple of weeks that I'll get better and more used to it. I know he gets to socialize with all the other babies, but I just worry about all the new things he's doing and don't want to miss out. Paul has been amazing with all of my mood swings and I think besides my body finally starting to get back to where it once was that soon I'll be back to normal emotionally too.

Here are some fun pictures. Enjoy!

HA,HA,HA...He laughs like this anytime I sing "If you're happy and you know it"
